about

In February 2018 my 20 year old daughter had a sudden major seizure and after various scans was diagnosed with a Grade 3 brain tumour. Over the course of the last year she has faced major brain surgery to remove the tumour, 6 weeks of radiotherapy, and the start of twelve monthly chemo therapy cycles. Throughout this process, partly as a way of coping, I continued to experiment with my electronic music, especially just improvising using the electronic devices I have at hand and simply recording the results to a stereo digital recorder. The tracks presented here are the fruits of this time and this way or working. There are no overdubs or additions – the only “post processing” has been to try and clean up the recordings a little.

The cover artwork is based one of her actual MRI scans of the tumour (and used with permission).
