Thalience

from Ventus by A Collection of Notes

/

about

As was explained to Jordan “Thalience is an attempt to give nature a voice without that voice being humans in disguise. It is the only way for an artificial intelligence to be grounded in a self-identity that is truly independent of its creator’s”. It is the tension between “Thalience” - the AIs experiencing life in their own terms, and “Mediation” - the AIs wanting to return to the original plan for life on Ventus, that is driving the conflict with the Winds.
